Photographic postcard, originally part of a photo album that belonged to Mrs. Sarah Spangenberg Eckel (1865-1952). Photo postcard of woman in a brimmed hat and long sleeved dress. "Vida Milholland" is printed below the photo. Vida Milholland (January 17, 1888 – November 29, 1952) was a women's rights activist and the sister of Inez Milholland, one of the leaders of the National Woman's Party. On the verso is " Mangemant, Ottokar Bartik, a well known dancer and choregrapher. Milholland studied drama at Vassar College and was a concert soprano. After the death her sisiter, Inez, in 1916 she devoted her time to the women's sufferage movement. This postcard was on page 16 of the album. |
